In your own time
Planning ahead
The kindest letter you can leave your family is the one they never have to write themselves. Planning ahead means your wishes are set down, your people are spared the guessing, and — if you choose to — today’s prices are the ones that hold.
What it is
A conversation, usually about an hour, at our table or yours. We write down what you want — burial or cremation, the kind of gathering, the music, the readings, the small things that make it yours — and we keep it on file for the day it’s needed. Recording your wishes costs nothing and obligates you to nothing.
What it can also be
If you want, you can fund the plan — a guaranteed-price contract through an insured, state-regulated trust, which locks today’s costs and keeps the money protected and portable. We will show you exactly how it works, on paper, and we will tell you plainly when funding isn’t the right move for your situation, because sometimes it isn’t.
Why people do it
Almost no one tells us they regret it. Families arrive to a plan instead of forty decisions; spouses aren’t guessing at wishes through tears; the money conversation happened years ago, calmly, with the person it was about in the room.
